Canary Wharf is arguably the most daring and striking individual building project ever to be constructed in the UK.  It is built without the aid of rock foundations.  Michael O’Reilly worked as a foundation engineer on the project in the late 1980s and drew up the geotechnical report for eastern portion of the site.
